Design and Build
With a length of 4.5 inches and width of 3 inches, the Seagate Backup Plus Slim is very portable. Moreover, it weighs only 127 grams.
The exterior consists of plastic chassis with a thin brushed metal cover on top. It has a minimalistic look with just Seagate logo and a white status light on the front.
On the top side, you can find the USB port. It comes with a 46cm USB 3.0 cable.
Performance
In our CrystalDiskMark benchmark test, the Backup Plus Slim scored 141.15 MBps on reads and 135.50 MBps on write speeds. The drive was cool and silent during the transfer.
The hard drive comes with a one-year Create plan for Mylio. It is a photo organising software that lets you upload photos to the cloud and access them on multiple devices, but after that year, it costs $50/year to use.
It also comes with free two-month access to Adobe’s Creative Cloud Photography plan, which costs $9.99/month to use after the trial period.
The hard disk has a 3-year manufacturer warranty.
