1More is a consumer electronics audio company headquartered in San Diego, California. Their mission is to deliver superior quality headphones at surprisingly affordable prices, disrupting an industry where price hiking and design shortcuts are the norms.
They use the latest patented designs and materials to enhance the sound, comfort, and aesthetic appeal. They have created earphones for Xiaomi too.
In-Box Contents and Price
The box contains a pair of Piston Classic in-ear headphones, 3 extra pairs of (differently sized) ear-tips, user manual, hard case and a steel shirt clip. The MRP of the in-earphones is set at Rs. 1999.
Design and Features
1More Piston Classic earphones have a sleek design and an above-average build quality compared to other in-ears in their price range. They have metal earbuds that feel dense and capable of withstanding multiple drops without getting damaged.
1More has selected metal composite diaphragm to allow the metal clip to have outstanding performance in high frequency which will give a mellow sound in detail. 1More lineage the patent damping system to assimilate noise.
It has 32Ω low impedance design, plug and play feature with Smartphone, iPod, iPad, iPhone anytime on the music when plug it on. This earphone comes with an in-line remote colour that comes with 3 buttons and a microphone. The buttons can be used to control the volume/media and the multifunction button can be used to receive calls / cancel calls and for voice activation.
1More has selected the patented dual-system technology. The dual-system intelligent control allows for compatibility with both Apple and Android systems.
It solves the problem of smart phone-wire compatibility between iOS and Android (CTIA international standard interface). Using MEMS microphone in control line smaller in size with higher consistency.
The ground wire and earphone’s line have their own channel, to avoid cross-talk and give you a hi-res talking experience. These are available in 3 colours: Black, Golden and Rose Gold.
Build Quality
1More Piston Classic earphones are better-built than their price would suggest. The ear cups and the inline remote feel dense and durable and the bottom half of the audio cable is braided to make the cable more resistant to wear and tear.
However, the top half of the cable which leads to the earbuds feels a lot cheaper than the rest of the build quality.
Performance
Bass is too good. Mids are fairly clear and one of the pros here.
Treble is a bit bright. Overall these earphones provide a balanced performance with a focus on bass.
Verdict
At sub-Rs. 2000 price, these earphones look premium. If you need earphones with balanced sound and awesome bass, you can go with these earphones.
