I am an hardcore online shopper.I usually buy from Flipkart using Gift vouchers earned easily from many sites. Now I have got one more option in form of Amazon. But the bad news is that they have not launched Gift Cards option for India yet.
One great benefit of Amazon is their Affiliate Program. But it is also not available yet on Amazon India. It is available in their main site.It is a great program made for people usually bloggers, webmasters and internet marketeers who want to earn some money and gift cards from recommending and selling Amazon products. You can get paid by Check,Wire Transfer and Gift Cards. You usually get a commision of 4 % to 15 %.But I prefer Gift Cards.
After searching whole site,I didn’t get any link on Gift Cards and Affiliate Program. So I sent an Email to Amazon India:
My Mail : I want to know whether I can pay with Amazon Gift Cards or not? Please start Amazon Affiliate Program for India too.
Their Reply : Hello,
Thank you for your interest on amazon.in
I understand that you’d like to redeem your Amazon.com Gift card on amazon.in.
However, I’m sorry we do not have this option available on amazon.in.
Thanks for your comments about the Amazon Affiliated Program in Amazon.in . We’ll consider your feedback as we plan further improvements.
Customer feedback like yours really helps us continue to improve our store and provide better service to our customers. Thanks for taking time to offer us your thoughts.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.
So I think they will start these two great options lately.
The moment has finally come when Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer, launches in India as many Indian shopaholics were waiting for it.Amazon has finally launched their marketplace in India today, Amazon.in , where third-party sellers can list their products and sell directly to customers.Currently they are selling in two categories only-Books and Movies & TV.In future, they plan to sell cameras, mobiles and other electronic devices.Amazon.in is Amazon’s tenth marketplace in the world. They have currently 70 lakh local and imported books and 12,000 movies and TV shows.
The good thing for us is that now there will be a tough competition between already existing Indian stores like Flipkart,HomeShop18,Snapdeal,Ebay.in and Amazon. This will result in low prices for customers. The bad thing for us is that Amazon will not sell its own products like Kindle because of India’s FDI regulations do not allow multi-brand retailers to sell their own products. Amazon has signed up 100 vendors across the country so far and has set up a 1.5 lakh sq.ft. fulfillment centre in Mumbai to service online orders. Any of the lakhs of retailers in India can hope to sign up with Amazon and sell their products online. Amazon will give free delivery on orders above Rs 499 but for a limited time, there is no minimum. So you can just grab your favourite book.Payment options are credit card, debit card and cash on delivery(COD).I hope they launch gift cards in India too.
