Top Group Buying Websites in India

Group buying system is bringing about a revolution in the way we shop in India. Group buying websites offer discounts that are valid for a limited number of users and for a limited time period. These discount offers become valid only after a set number of people have purchased them. In case the minimum number of buyers is not obtained, those who have already purchased the deal get their money back. Alternatively, if the offer gets successfully activated, buyers have a time period of three to nine months to use the coupon.

These websites help buyers secure discounts like never before and are also lucrative for the companies offering them since they get a large number of buyers. There are several group buying coupon websites like couponzguru.com in India. These websites are seen everywhere these days and have spread throughout the online shopping zone. None of these platforms have any differentiating factor and they are almost the same. Here are the top 4 group buying websites in India. All the top websites have very close competition with many different websites, including Kvoos.com, Rediff shopping deal ho jaye, TimesDeal.com.

1.   Snapdeal: Snapdeal is leading in the online group buying market by a huge margin against its competitors.  They provide the cheapest deals in many different domains and are present in 32 Indian cities. Snapdeal has reached its users who do not have an internet connection through TV commercials and the organization claims that they have more the 30,000 transactions each day. The quick growth of Snapdeal is because of strong tie-ups with retailers and successful TV commercials.

2.      2.  SoSasta (GrouponIndia): SoSasta, a Kolkata based start-up was founded by Ananya Bubna and was later acquired by Groupon. The organization is currently operating in 11 Indian cities. They had an exclusive tie up with Ginger Hotels which helped them launch a travel vertical on the website.  The organization aims to provide local and targeted deals to its users.

3.      3. Mydala: The first group buying portal in India, Mydala was founded by Anisha Singh in November 2009.  She has successfully secured many investment deals for her venture.  With its head office in Delhi, the organization is present in 9 cities and they are planning to slowly grow to many other cities as well. The quantity and quality of deals on the page are great and the website has a very neat design.
